You\u2019ll come back for the same reasons\u2026 and also because you\u2019ll feel so at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"alignwide animation--init--once slide-up\">The campsite has managed to keep intact its original characteristics since opening in 1960: tranquillity, authenticity and a natural setting by the sea. A privileged environment which has largely contributed to its success\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"alignwide animation--init--once slide-up\">Do you dream of pitching your tent on top of a shady sand dune or setting up your caravan on the edge of the pine forest? Your wish will be granted. You can\u2019t actually see the sea from the campsite, but the dunes do protect us from the sea spray, and we are the only local campsite by the seaside with direct access to the beach!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We could have been called \u00ab Camping de la Plage \u00bb but for our faithful customers we will always be \u00ab Cap de l\u2019Homy Campsite\u00bb! And just to make things clear, don\u2019t expect a headland or other rocky outcrop. \u00ab Cap de L\u2019Homy in the Gascon dialect means \u00ab man\u2019s head\u00bb and is simply the name of this magnificent beach of golden sand you will reach via our superb wooden walkway.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile is-image-fill-element animation--init--once has-background\" style=\"background-color:#fcefe1;margin-bottom:10vh;padding-bottom:0vh\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading animation--init--once slide-right has-dm-sans-font-family has-h-3-font-size\"><strong style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Above all, tranquillity!<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"animation--init--once slide-right\">If you are looking for a campsite with entertainment, loud speakers and aqua-gym, look elsewhere. Cap de l\u2019Homy is a traditional campsite: no swimming pool (too noisy) but a \u2018boules\u2019 contest every Monday afternoon and beach-volley every Thursday afternoon between July 14th and August 15th .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every evening at 10pm, our campers all play our trademark game of \u00ab the king of silence \u00bb\u2026 absolute calm descends. It undertakes to respect this ONF charter, which is committed to sustainable development.
